Jordan Lake Bass Fishing Information

B. Everett Jordan Lake, in central North Carolina, is a reservoir built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control. The lake was first proposed after a severe flood in 1945. The lake project was approved in the early 1960's and was built between 1973 & 1983.

Jordan Lake has a healthy population of Largemouth Bass. Current creel limits are 5 bass, with a minimum length of 15 inches. Tournaments typically require 16+ pounds to win, with a 5 bass bag limit.

Jordan Lake is also the home of the Warriors On The Water military appreciation bass fishing tournament, which is held every April. The Warriors On The Water tournament pairs volunteer boaters with active-duty members of U.S. Military from local military bases in NC for a fun, free day of fishing on Jordan Lake.
